We have been busy writing the new updated code these last 3 weeks for Zabang. It has been a lot of work and filled with one thing after another, but we are making consistent progress.
There are constant shifts of code with increasing complexity, but we are trying to simplify without losing functionality.
This last week has been intense with the coding ... We are in the midst of redesigning the social scores at the moment and looking at ways to also find out when people are artificially "gamng" the system. So we are writing apps that track people's scores and their search result patterns. Just like how criminals are always tracked by looking at what they are buying - when a person that wasn't spending a lot of money starts to buy boats and high priced items, then it may be a sign that they have gamed the system and did something wrong.
Bottomline, when people see the value of the Zabang system, the first thing unscrupulous people will do is to try to figure out the hacks and how to get better scores without doing the work that deserves that score. This is not a question of if, but when. It is just part of being on the Internet. We want to make sure that when this type of thing happens, people can spot it and alert us.
This week has been a development week regarding the social search engine. We have been working with the handpicked beta testers on the current modules and the up coming modules. We are creating a system to get a true community feel.
We are in the midst of creating the major functionalities for the group conversations on Zabang.
We are updating the Zabang DEV site with the most recent codes from the Live site as well.
We are in the midst of creating the new functionality for the group conversations on Zabang. This is a major functionality and we will be working on this next to implement and test it.
We have also started to update the Zabang DEV site with the most recent codes from the Live site, so that we do all the new functionality on the DEV site, and we review it there, while the Live site remains unaffected.
We have completed the testing if there latest modules and are ready to move forward with additional improvement. Zabang is spreading it's social capability now.
We have an initial beta test team created this week consisting of specialists in social media design. We have gone over the latest modules in the social network part of the search engine and are improving and adding onto the design. Once we decide which modules to work on first, we will update it.
Basically, it is grown to a point where people can find a community of others that share their own particular viewpoint and see what their search results are for any particular Keyword phrase.
Now that we have set up the main infrastructure to create these social groups working the members of the search engine network, we are working on how the members within a community can chat and message each other, and also invite others to Jon their particular community by joining Zabang. This is the viral growth aspect we have gotten implemented. With this component, Zabang will really grow.
We are still in testing phase for the new modules we have integrated previously.
We expect to start beta testing soon with a few select Zabang users. We are working on a questionnaire so we can seed the AI machine learning engine with how users choose a particular search result from a particular Keyword Search phrase.
We have made significant progress with the new social media modules. We did testing in the beginning of last week and started new code this week. Here are the updates for last week and this week.
1. We made the users' keyword search groupings (KSG) be ordered alphabetically.
2. For each KSG, we made the rating functionality work. We also made the user voting contribute to the cumulative score.
3. We also finished the functionality where all users can vote the Search Results inside the KSG by clicking on Up or Down arrows next to each search result.
4. We finished the functionality which makes 10 search results display inside KSG by default. We added a "Show more" button which makes the rest of the search results above 10 open up.
We will be testing these modules next.
We have completed the latest rewrite on the social media modules within each search result and are testing it this week. These modules are very unique - not found in any search engine. We have been refining the modules in accordance to the latest social media trends, so we are using a group of millennials who are testing the functionality.
We are still in the midst of load testing the new functionalities - we have rewritten and continue to rewrite several modules. We are in development mode at the moment.
